Well I headed off for a small holiday this week to Tuscany. I stayed in a town called Pietrasanta about 20mins out of Pisa. This is one of the many homes of where Fabio Briatore resides & he also owns a night club here, unfortunately I did not make it there this time but maybe next time. The town is very cute with a high street full of stores like Gucci, Prada, & Dolci & Gabbana along with a beautiful scenery of the mountain tops one way and the beach on the other side. As it was off peak season there weren't to many tourist around which actually made it quiet nice, I only stayed for 4days 2 of which a thunder storm arrived (the 1st rain they had had in 35days, thanks a lot italy) great timing!
However I made the most of it and in between the rain the sun shone so I tried to hit the beach as much as I could, along with this I spent a lot of time biking around the town and getting drenched at one stage, as I had no where to go except keep on biking this made things interesting luckily it was very warm and I was already in my togs (aka bikini for you non New Zealanders)
Overall Pietrasanta was a wicked place with cute spots to chill out and have a fresh cocktails, or go for a walk through the beautiful woods, If you want to party there were plenty of night clubs for the young & the older. And you will defiantly keep fit with the rental bikes that you can hire from your hotel to bike EVERYWHERE on really easy to get around and a great way to see everything.
P.s I cant forget the ice cream (Gelato) sooooo delicious you can not go to Italy and not have some Gelato!!
