I spent last night at one of Wellington's most popular look out points, the views are amazing at night.
It truly does make you take a step back and realize the good things about where you live.
If you are like me you never like to be in one place for too long! I am always wanting to do something see a change of scenery, but I also forget to take a step back and look at where I actually am and take everything in and enjoy the moment.
Last night showed me to appreciate where I come from and how easily it is to forget, Even though I do not spend most of my year here it has taught me that when I am back enjoy the time i have because when I leave I will most probably miss it.
So next time you are complaining about where you live or that you just want to get away from it! Step back and look at the good things about it! Yes it is great exploring other places but don't forget about where you come from. There are good and bad things about everywhere you go to around the world.

Love
Love is a strange thing it can fool us into thinking we are "in love with someone" when it may be just "Lust", or in this case "an item".

Wellington Anniversary Weekend
What did everyone get up to on their long weekend? I thought that i would head into Wellington,NZ to see if anything interesting was going.
I found everything to be very very quiet, the city that is buzzing during the week turned out to be like a ghost town!I drove around town looking for things to photograph in between avoiding getting saturated by the constant rain. Here are some of the places & people that i came across.
Man unhappily waiting for the bus
Busker playing on Lambton Quay.
Parliament building
Old fashion Tory street sign
Oriental Parade and one of it's locals out for a run despite the miserable weather
It is very rare that you come across these pay & display machines, it reminds me of the days when parking only costed $2 instead of $4.
Wakefeild street with it's graffiti.

Look through someone elses eyes for once
We all tend to forget that everyone is human, we live our day to day lives and forget that their are other people just like us. They might be struggling to put food on the table for their families, or living on the street trying to feed themselves. they may have lost their home in the recent Australian floods, or family members in the Pike river mine. For whatever reason we may think that our life isnt going so well, just because you missed the bus to work or your car broke down on the way, it just didn't go to plan as we had hoped. Just remember that your probably not the only one out there having a bad day, after all it is just a bad day and remember that there are good days too, we all have them!
The Simple things in life
Quote of the Day: No matter how bad your day has been, the simple things in life from someone you love, can brighten up your day......
Next time your not feeling the best think of others and brighten their day, with the small things in life.
